Benefits That Make You Smile

The word “benefits” can mean so many things. Sure, it means health insurance and vacation time, but there are also other perks that make Elements such a good place to spend your working days. See below for our four areas of competitive benefits our employees receive.

Modern Approach to Work

Renovated Headquarters

Elements completed a full renovation of its corporate headquarters in Downtown Indianapolis, opening its new doors in July of 2021. The purpose of this renovation was to create a collaborative environment while also reflecting pride in our family-like culture and highly respected brand.

We surveyed all employees and included many of their suggestions for the space, such as more natural light, multiple collaboration rooms, an improved heating and air system, and a large social area.

Our credit union took this opportunity to also integrate innovative aspects into our new office designed to protect our employees. Our new state-of-the-art air filtration system is one example, divided into dedicated air zones for efficiency, comfort, and maximum filtering. Touchless automated entry doors were also installed for our new employees-only entrance!

Hybrid Workforce

Our teams have effectively proven their abilities to work efficiently beyond the office. Elements has evolved into a hybrid workforce that allows employees to work and succeed remotely and/or in our branches and newly renovated headquarters in Downtown Indianapolis.

“Flex Hours” are another benefit taken under consideration, based on the needs of our business and each employee’s type of role and performance. We recognize that it is not always best or possible for everyone to work in the office, 8 am to 5 pm daily.

Health & Wellness Benefits

Elements cares about keeping you well and caring for you when you’re ill.

Health Insurance

Our comprehensive benefits program includes medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage options for you and your family. Coverage is effective the first of the month following your first day of employment.

Health Savings Account (HSA)

Employees who enroll in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) through Elements are eligible to open an interest-bearing Health Savings Account, which Elements contributes to twice a year.

Wellness

Our comprehensive wellness program focuses on organizational well-being including physical, financial, career, communication and social well-being. Employees can participate in planned activities, use our on-site health coach, get an annual gym stipend and more.

Financial Benefits

“Financial” is part of our name, so of course we’re experts at that!

401(k) Plan

Elements provides a 100% match of the first 3% and 50% match of the next 2% for employees participating in our 401(k) plan.

Profit Sharing

Elements also contributes 5% of each eligible employee’s gross compensation into the employee’s designated investment options offered with the 401(k) plan at the end of each year.

Tuition Reimbursement Program

After six months on the job, employees can be offered $5,250 per year in reimbursement for education and training related to their role at the credit union.

You know what they say about all work and no play. We don't just respect your time off, we encourage it!

Holidays

We observe eight paid holidays per calendar year and also close early on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Paid Time Off

Eligible employees receive PTO based on years of service, and it’s prorated for new employees based on their start date. Additional PTO is awarded on January 1 during an employee’s fourth year of service.

Volunteer PTO

Elements encourages employees to impact the community by providing paid time off for staff to get involved with our partner charities or donate to another cause close to their hearts.

Parenting Leave

Both full-time and part-time employees who meet FMLA eligibility will receive anywhere between 3-12 weeks at 100% of their base pay depending on their status. If additional time is desired, there are also unpaid leave options.
